Source checked means the primary documentation supports the entry. Tested means the behavior was also exercised. Community entries are clearly marked until they receive a deeper review.

Codex Rules is a field manual, not a leaderboard. Entries earn attention by being clear, sourced, and useful in real work.
People stay in the edit
We write for a person deciding what to do next. Posts name tradeoffs, uncertainty, and the places where taste still matters.
Sources keep their credit
External work links to its publisher or repository. Licenses are recorded where they are known. Submissions must be shareable by the contributor.
The library is portable
Public data can be exported as JSON, CSV, or Markdown. The full editorial backup includes revision history, asset metadata, and stable IDs.
How moderation works

A contributor saves an entry and receives a private edit link.

An editor checks the links, rights, claims, copy text, and taxonomy.

Publish or request changes
The status and editor note appear on the submission page. Every update becomes a revision.

Dates and labels make it clear when an entry was last verified.
